Access to Criminal Courtroom Audio Streaming Here (Zoom Meeting Info)
How to Request Listen-In Audio Streaming
To request access, you must email the court district where the hearing is scheduled.
- The request must be sent at least 5 days before the hearing.
- Requests sent less than 5 days before the hearing may not be processed in time.
- Your email must include:
- Case number
- Party name (the name of the person or case involved)
- Hearing date and time
- Courtroom/department number
- Your contact information (email and phone number)
If any of this information is missing, you may not be able to access the audio stream.

Important Information About Courtroom Audio Streaming
Restrictions on Audio Streaming
- Juvenile cases cannot be streamed.
- Recording or rebroadcasting livestreamed court proceedings is not allowed without written permission from the court. This follows California Rules of Court, rule 1.150.
- Some parts of the livestream may be unavailable or closed to the public for legal reasons.
- The court does not guarantee the quality or reliability of the audio stream.
To request permission to record or rebroadcast court proceedings, you must follow California Rules of Court, rule 1.150 (here). Click MC 500 and MC 510 to access the required forms, then submit them to the correct court district.
How to Join an Audio Stream
Using a Touch-Tone Phone or Cell Phone:
- Dial the phone number assigned to the courtroom providing audio access.
- Enter the meeting ID for the courtroom you want to listen to.
Using the Zoom App:
- Click the "Join by PC" link.
- A box will appear asking for your name—enter it.
- Choose whether to save your name for future hearings (check or uncheck the box).
- Click “Join the Meeting.”
- Choose how to hear the audio:
- “Already joined by phone” (enter the access code on the screen).
- Join with computer audio.”
- When the hearing ends, click “Leave” (bottom right corner).
- Click “Leave Meeting” to exit.
NOTE: There may be silence until the case is called.
