How Remote Traffic Arraignments Work

The Fontana District will hold Remote Traffic Arraignments for infractions according to the schedule below. Parties will be connected by videoconference to a courtroom in the Rancho Cucamonga District, equipped with a camera, a large television monitor and microphones. Parties appearing remotely and the judicial officer in Rancho Cucamonga will be able to see, hear, and speak to each other through this video connection.

During these calendar days, the court will have an employee at the remote district conduct roll call for parties. The hearings will proceed like a traditional hearing, but they will be held using the videoconference connection. If parties have documents to submit, documents must be submitted to the Fontana Clerk's Office at least 5 days prior to the hearing.

Notice: At this time, the San Bernardino Superior Court’s Remote Traffic Arraignment Calendar does not allow for a traffic arraignment to be held on the same day. If an infraction court trial is requested, it will be scheduled in the Court District that has jurisdiction over the citation on a future date.
