Traffic
Welcome to the Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino Traffic page.
For your convenience, many traffic services are now offered through this website.
“Traffic” includes vehicle code and non-vehicle code infractions, including municipal codes.
General Information
If you received a ticket for a traffic violation, the court will send a reminder notice to the address on your ticket. If you do not receive the reminder, you are still responsible for paying or taking care of your ticket by the appearance date. Not receiving the notice does not excuse you from this responsibility.
If you do not get your reminder notice at least two weeks before your appearance date and are unsure what to do, you can visit the courthouse, ask by mail before your appearance date, or speak with a clerk. Do not ignore your ticket if you do not get a reminder notice in the mail. You must appear at the courthouse or handle your case by mail, over the phone, or online by the appearance date, whether or not you get the notice. Check the back of your ticket for more details.
If you do not take action by your appearance date, you may face extra fees, a hold on your driver’s license, or even have your case sent to collections.
If you want to appear in court, you need to call the clerk’s office listed on your ticket to reserve a court date.
Correctable violations cannot be paid online unless you pay the full amount without showing proof of correction. If you want to fix the violation, you must present proof of correction to the court.
