SBSC Announces Participation in Remote Court Reporting Pilot Project Under AB3013
Release Date: December 16, 2025
SAN BERNARDINO, CA—San Bernardino Superior Court is excited to announce its participation in the Remote Court Reporting Pilot, authorized under AB3013 legislation, officially launching Monday, December 15, 2025.
Launching this new pilot project will modernize the way the record is captured in participating courtrooms throughout the county and help address the statewide court reporter shortage by authorizing official court reporters to report proceedings from designated court offices.
This means the same quality transcripts will be created, but by embracing technology to modernize this essential function, our court reporters will spend more time capturing the verbatim record, and less time driving between courthouses in the largest county in the contiguous United States.
Judicial officers, attorneys, and litigants who participate in remotely reported hearings will be invited to participate in this important pilot by providing feedback about their experience. This feedback will serve as the primary source of data for providing data and information to the Judicial Council, as required.
The pilot project begins December 15, 2025, and will end at the close of business on June 30, 2026.
