San Bernardino Superior Court To Close September 25 For California Native American Day

SAN BERNARDINO, CA—The San Bernardino Superior Court will be closed Friday, September 25, 2026, in observance of California Native American Day.

This week, the court served as the location for a California Native American Day press conference, bringing together tribal representatives, community members, and public officials to reflect on the significance of the observance and honor California Native American communities.

Observed on the fourth Friday in September, California Native American Day recognizes the histories, cultures, and contributions of Native American communities statewide.

Assembly Bill 855, authored by Assemblymember James C. Ramos and sponsored by the Judicial Council of California, made California Native American Day a judicial holiday beginning in 2022.
