MOBILE CARE COURT EVENT FOR JOSHUA TREE WITH COURT COMMUNITY VEHICLE
SAN BERNARDINO, CA—The San Bernardino Superior Court is excited to announce the second Care Court community vehicle outreach event at the Joshua Tree Courthouse on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 10 AM- 2 PM.
This event expands access to Community Assistance, Recovery and Empowerment (CARE) Court services, connecting individuals who qualify—or may qualify—with vital support. Attendees will have access to:
- Self-Help Services for document preparation and filing
- An on-site judicial officer for prima facie eligibility determinations
- Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) representatives to answer questions and guide participants
Who Qualifies for CARE Court?

- Severe mental illness (schizophrenia or related disorder)
- Not clinically stabilized in voluntary treatment
- CARE plan is the least restrictive option for recovery
- Likely to benefit from participation
This initiative reflects the Court’s commitment to bringing justice to the community and aligns with its Strategic Plan goal: “The Right Services in the Right Places.”
