FILING FOR CIVIL RESTRAINING ORDERS RELOCATING FROM SAN BERNARDINO JUSTICE CENTER TO FONTANA COURTHOUSE
RELEASE DATE: FEBRUARY 10, 2026
SAN BERNARDINO, CA─ Beginning Monday, March 9, 2026, all petitions for Civil restraining orders previously filed and heard at the San Bernardino Justice Center will be relocated to the Fontana District. This move aligns with the court’s commitment to ensuring we provide the right services in the right places by giving litigants access to Self-Help Services, Legal Aid, and other support services not currently available at the San Bernardino Justice Center.
The Fontana Clerk’s Office public window will be open for all petitions for Civil restraining order matters heard at the Fontana District. Attorneys and parties are encouraged to check the Court’s website (Where Can I File? https://sanbernardino.courts.ca.gov/general-information/where-can-i-file) to confirm in-person filing locations during the business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Court Holidays.
Parties and attorneys are encouraged to continue to use the Court’s electronic filing system for all matters approved for electronic filing (https://sanbernardino.courts.ca.gov/divisions/civil/civil-harassment).
