Civil eFiling

Civil Documents May Be Submitted Online Using eFile

The Civil Division offers electronic filing (eFiling) of documents, including judgments, for attorneys and individuals who represent themselves in court. The implementation schedule for Civil eFiling is as follows:

  • Voluntary eFiling began on October 2, 2023.
  • The date for Mandatory eFiling is yet to be decided.

If you need help with your Civil forms or more information before filing, please visit the Civil Self-Help Guide.

Important Information:
When submitting documents for a law firm, you might see a section asking for a Bar Number. Each law firm has a unique ID number in our case management system. Use this ID number in the Bar Number field. Refer to this list to find your law firm’s ID number.

For instructions on adding your law firm’s unique ID number to your Electronic Filing Service Provider (EFSP) account, click here.

FEE LIMITATIONS (*FEES IN EXCESS OF $25,000*)

Please note that due to system limitations, the maximum eFile fees that can be processed through our eFiling system are capped at $25,000. Even if more than $25,000 in fees are submitted with the eFiled document, only $25,000 can be processed. Once the filing is accepted, you will receive a Notice of Filing Fees Due, outlining any fees exceeding $25,000 that remain outstanding.

Any additional fees exceeding this amount must be settled through the following alternative payment options after you receive the conformed copy of your document.

  1. Call Center Payment: You may make your payment by contacting our call center at (909) 387-1470.
  2. Check Payment: A check may be mailed to the Clerk’s office location of your filing.
  3. In-Person Payment: Payments may also be made directly at the Clerk’s office location of your filing.

If you have already paid your fees, please disregard.

If you have any questions or require further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team at (909) 708-8678.

Note: Appeal documents cannot be submitted through eFiling. For questions about appeal documents, contact Appeals at 909-384-1888, select option 1, then option 7.
