Self-Help Services

About Self-Help Services

The Court offers free self‑help services for people who do not have a lawyer. Help is available for family law, child support, civil harassment, landlord/tenant, and small claims cases. Self‑Help staff can explain how court processes work, review forms you have completed, provide information and examples, and share referrals to community resources.

You must not have an attorney to use these services.

The Court cannot give legal advice and does not represent either party. No attorney‑client relationship is formed by using the Court's self-help services. Communications are not confidential, and staff may help more than one party in the same case. If you need legal advice or if you would like to be represented in court, you should contact a licensed attorney.
